As a vital component of industrial fasteners, the production of stainless steel nuts involves multiple stages, and production capacity is influenced by raw materials, manufacturing processes, and technological proficiency.

 

Raw Material Selection
The primary raw materials for stainless steel nuts are 304 or 316 stainless steel wire rods; both materials possess excellent corrosion resistance and strength. The wire rods must undergo chemical composition analysis and surface cleaning treatments to ensure they are free of impurities and oxide layers.

 

Cold Heading
Using a cold heading machine, the wire rod is cut into predetermined lengths and then stamped into shape within a die. This step determines the basic geometry of the nut as well as the dimensions of the thread pilot hole. The cold heading process significantly minimizes material waste and enhances production efficiency.

 

Thread Processing
Following the forming stage, the nuts undergo thread tapping, typically executed using high-speed tapping machines or thread rolling machines. Thread precision directly impacts the nut's fastening performance; therefore, tolerances must be strictly controlled.

 

Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment
Certain high-strength nuts require solution treatment to enhance their mechanical properties.
